    Through our consulting services, we help employers create diversity and professional development programs that are effective, practical and sustainable. We also provide training programs to employees on networking, business development and leadership skills. We tailor our programs to best achieve our corporate clients’ strategic business objectives while increasing individual employees’ performance levels and deepening employees’ connection to the firm.

    Through our consulting services, Career Women’s Initiative helps employers create initiatives and programs designed to better retain and promote top talent, especially diverse employees.

    Our consulting services include:

    • Business Case Analysis: Career Women’s Initiative helps firms build the business case for diversity and/or program initiatives within the firm. We provide presentations and workshops that articulate the need for diversity and program initiatives, analyze internal firm statistics and findings, and provide comparisons to competitor and best practices firms. These presentations and workshops can be provided to employees at all levels, including management, diversity committees and other key players.

    • Information Gathering and Needs Assessment: Career Women’s Initiative examines employer policies and practices and interviews employees at all levels and/or regretted loss former employees through in-person interviews, focus groups and/or questionnaires.

    • Formulating Diversity and Professional Development Strategies, Programs and Practices: Career Women’s Initiative works with clients to create diversity and professional development goals, programs and practices that are effective, realistic and sustainable. In addition, we provide targeted workshops and presentations to aid program implementation.

    • Marketing of Professional Development and Diversity Efforts: Career Women’s Initiative helps employers formulate marketing plans that communicate firm diversity programs internally and externally. Marketing services may include the development of website content.

    Our Training Programs 

    Career Women's Initiative specializes in providing training on networking, business development and leadership skills to attorneys and other professional services employees. Our programs are designed to increase employee satisfaction and productivity, while deepening employees’ connection to the firm.

    Our programs utilize a comprehensive, multi-faceted approach to professional development which includes targeted instruction, participant self-assessment, strategic career planning and sustained skills practice. The goal of our programs is to equip employees with the tools they need to take charge of their career development, maximize their networking and business development efforts and improve their leadership skills. We tailor our programs to best achieve our corporate clients’ strategic business objectives while strengthening employees’ individual performance levels.

    We believe lasting change and skills improvement rarely happen without individual attention, continued support and oversight. Accordingly, our programs are designed to provide sustained, personalized development and follow-up. We also help firms capitalize on employee gains from our programs by working with firm personnel to help them further support and develop employees’ networking, business development and leadership skills.

    Our training programs include the following:


    Our Presentations and Workshops: Programs can be provided on a stand-alone basis, but, to maximize skills development, we encourage clients to invest in a development package which combines presentation, workshop and individual coaching components.

    • Growing Your Network and Client Base (One-hour presentation which provides an overview of networking and business development skills and strategies)
    • The Basics: Networking and Client Development 101 (One-hour presentation which can be geared toward summer associates/analysts, an entry-level audience, or toward preparation for a specific client development event)
    • Make Networking Work for You (One and a half-hour workshop which is tailored to the specific needs of the client and workshop group)

    Our Forward Track Intensive Workshop and Coaching Series: A three-month intensive program, geared toward the development of high-potential employees. Components are tailored to the business and professional development objectives of the client and participants. Programs are:

    • Forward Track: Networking and Business Development Intensive

    • Forward Track: Leadership Intensive


    Each CWI training program is customized to reflect employees’ current skills, the firm’s objectives and existing firm programs and personnel.
